Martina Giusto

Young woman with curly hair smiling and sitting on the floor in front of a brick wall.

Hi there!

So great to have you here.

My name is Martina.
I am a Yoga teacher and a forever student.

I support and inspire people in developing a steady, healing practice.
Yoga has been part of my life since 2014 and I have been teaching since 2017, specializing in many branches of Yoga as well as Daoism, trauma informed approaches and release bodywork techniques.

My teachings are strongly rooted in Yoga and Daoist philosophies as well as the teachings of nature and its seasons.

Being a trauma survivor, I know how hard it is to deal with PTSD, flashbacks and a wired nervous system.
Studying Yoga, QiGong and mindfulness I have found tools that help me self-regulate and allow me to live a normal life.

My purpose is to share these life savings tools with you all.

Because healing is possible, and it comes from within.

Co-founder of a self-care podcast On A Journey With The Self.

Originally from Italy, I am currently based in Aotearoa (New Zealand).

About me as a teacher

With a background in dancing, I started my yoga journey at the age of 19. After 16 years of arabesques and such my back was a mess and I joined the local gym’s yoga session to try ease the pain. Since that first class, I never looked back.

Over the years, I travelled a lot, studied with many teachers and explored many different lineages.

I am particularly focused and passionate about embodiment. Every body is unique and will need a different approach depending on the day, phase of the month or stage of life.
The practice is to listen: what do I need right now? How can I cultivate my energy in a way that fulfills my needs today?
No pushing, only surrendering.

About me as a human

I LOVE gardening.
I am mother to around 100 indoor plants and I find real reward in growing my own food.

I usually spend my time off in nature (my forever home) going for bush walks, smelling flowers and swimming in the ocean.

I also adore reading a good book while drinking coffee or cacao (always spiked with medicinal mushies) and I am a serial binge-watcher.

Beside Yoga, I am a huge fan of Daoist practices and have been a fervent QiGong student for years.

Overall, I am a bubbly and full of love dork, always keen for a hug and a laugh.
